Not as good as I had hoped (and raved), but it’s still okay. What really gets me, randomly, is the fact that their are 13 songs on the album, yet the album doesn’t even breach being 37 minutes in length. That means that all of the songs, on average, are less than 3 minutes in length (their new single, Hell, is the longest track on the album at 3:25). Is it just me or is that really short I remember songs in the 80s (well I wasn’t born then) and the 90s being around 2 minutes [...] 7 November, 2009 at 9.07 am
The Swell Season You may remember them from the film Once, the main characters played by Glen Hansard (of The Frames) and Marketa Irglova have formed The Swell Season (and are dating – cute). They’ve just released a new album called The Strict Joy, and it’s really good. So if you liked the film once, the band the Frames, or even the upcoming cheesy one-with-nature image, you’ll like them.
