On a boat

 

One of the unexpected horrors of living on a boat is that of sharing the boat with spiders. They live in every porthole, corner and, for some reason, bathtub. One night after work, I spent a quiet night in chatting to Helene, the cappy-tain, and as she was telling me about her secret holiday spot in Morocco, the biggest spider I’ve ever seen slowly eases itself down on a line of silk behind her head. Cafés et Thés – Verlet

After a week of blissfully smooth café lattes in Florence I’ve been after my high quality caffeine fix for a few days now. Verlet is a small café in the heart of Paris that specializes in tea and coffee that seemed to have the solution to this problem. Chris and I went over on a sunny Saturday afternoon to 256 Rue St Honore in the 1st Arrondissement (next to the Louvre!) to experience some of the best beans in Paris.
