In between packing up my stuff, Anne pointed me towards an article on CNNgo about a new club opening up in Hong Kong’s Lan Kwai Fong area, “Likuid”. What I find so infuriating about the club is, not only the fact that the name offends my eyes (even Liquid Room in Edinburgh managed to be spelt correctly), is that the owner is an 18 year-old daughter-of-an-expatriate. The article also seems to congratulate her on her blatant disregard for Hong Kong law, she started clubbing at the age of 13 and also organised open-bar parties for 15-19 year olds – [...]

Okay well this is me back in Hong Kong now.
Note to self and to others: if you’re going to go over the 15kg check in and carry on limit, don’t fly Spring Airways. Or if you are going to fly Spring, don’t show up at the airport without any cash on the (perhaps naive?) assumption that they’ll take Visa. I mean, who actually uses Visa these days? Surely not high tech fucking airline companies. I was clearly so stupid.
So due to being 15kg overweight (they weighed my carry on which was full of books), I was told [...]

Okay, so tonight I’ll be flying back to Hong Kong to renew my Home Return Permit and HKID. I’ve made an appointment at 9am tomorrow at the Hong Kong Immigration Bureau to get a new HKID and as soon as I’ve got my temporary HKID in hand I’m meant to run to the CTS to apply for a new Home Return Permit.
I’m also having trouble deciding what to pack.

This is Kelly. She’s 18 years old. AND ADORABLE.
See how her face is divided into quarters? C-U-T-E.
She’s also super small. Here’s a photo comparing her to my blackberry:
She doesn’t look very happy because she’s very needy and I had to stop petting her to take that photo. She doesn’t really like phones either, and it probably made her uncomfortable to be practically sitting on one. It’s also a fairly unflattering angle. I think the fact that it makes her butt look mahoosive probably didn’t help [...]

I just think it’s really sad. I feel like I’ve left this life that I built myself. That sounds so dramatic, but the life I lead in the UK is so different from the life I lead back in Hong Kong. Also I’ve gone from living in a lovely flat to living in a flat with my mum and having no bedroom to call my own. So I’ll be living out of a suitcase and on the sofa for the next few months.
But not much can be done.
Anyways, I’m back in [...]

I don’t know much about any of this really, so this is based on some research that I’ve done. It was in no way extensive research, so if you have anything to say about this, please comment. Like I said, I’m not an expert and your input will be greatly valued.
So from my own experiences, if you want to experience live music in Hong Kong you have a variety of options, 1, you have very established acts coming over to perform, 2, you obviously get live music at restaurants and things like that, 3, you can go to [...]
